Leave Something for the Archaeologists
| Tel el Amarna 2005-03-31 5:46 pm And the hits just keep on comin'... So it apparently wasn't bad enough that I should spend 4 years in near complete unhappiness. It wasn't bad enough that I just had the year from hell, closing with a complete inability to achieve dissertation committee, and the huge crashing sound of my future caving in. And, apparently it wasn't bad enough that I should be lost, adrift, temporally-suspended, occipitally confused, and pariatally kneed in the head... No, none of this was good enough for the gods of karmic equalibrium (you know, the ones that came up with the idea of "in to each life, a little rain must fall" and then laugh as they piss on your head...) No, not good enough for them, or perhaps just because I forgot to feed the bad faeries this past Samhain... now, on top of everything, I'm homeless. The termites that lived in the walls - the one's that everyone told me couldn't be there and that I was crazy for hearing because "you can't hear termites" - came out of the walls yesturday, and entirely COVERED my apartment. So I poisoned them, and myself in the process, and now my apartment is covered in thousands upon thousands of dead bodies, my belongings in panicked disarray, my stuffed animals still screaming and crying and comforting each other in their new, plastic bag homes. My lips are black and deeply cracked from dehydration and poison ingestion. My body ACHES from sheer tension alone. I drag my little bag to and from crash space, and walk CONSTANTLY to the bank for the exact same transaction - processed over and over and over, and consistantly failing, because THIS IS HELL (insert scary voice...) My GOD! How hard is it to do an international fund transfer in the international business capital of the country?! Probably help if someone over 16 worked at the bank, hm? One more month... one more month...
